We have this unit for 10 times now and overall I’m very pleased with it. For the mainstream feature, navigation, it is very useful. I experienced a Garmin 350 before this which i loved but it was taken from my own car. I experienced a Magellan from then on which has been crap. The price about this unit has been great ($247 : Amazon).
I select it over the 1390T because I opted not to get bluetooth. It may be the only difference between your units. I experienced the bluetooth quality would be poor according to other reviews of bluetooth generally on GPS units. The major reason was in how most people use bluetooth. In an average day I’m in and away from my vehicle often. I always need my own bluetooth immediately in the event I get a call. I don’t always require my GPS. And given that my previous unit has been stolen, and theft of the units is a big problem everywhere, I keep your unit invisible or sometimes eliminate it from the car. So if you’re like me nevertheless, you get this particular unit for bluetooth, you will have to stop and mount the gps everytime you receive in the car whether you’ll need it or even not, just to have blue teeth capability. If an individual forget and the cell cell phone rings, you have no bluetooth. So My partner and i purchased a different bluetooth loudspeaker phone from Jabra (great unit# which can be always mounted on my visor, pretty good quality, and always there when i need that. I stored about $75 by deciding on the 1350T over the 1390T.
A few minor disappointments. The Street Assist feature works excellent but isn’t available everywhere. I used it around NYC also it was beneficial. I owned through Philadelphia and upstate NY also it was unavailable. Marketing material hypes this particular feature however they neglect to share with you that one point. But if it is available, it is a good feature. That provides me in order to traffic. Same story here. I has been driving by means of PA and hit a an hour traffic jam. No warnings in the traffic feature since it was unavailable in which area. When I acquired to the particular Scranton, PA region the traffic alerts began working. It alerted me of the major traffic jam ahead also it even rerouted my own trip instantly. The reroute will be a significant inclusion in miles but would be worth it in order to avoid the traffic, right?
